The GT350R is cheaper because it's not a stand alone model. It's basically a package on the GT350. If the Z/28 had a discount model, it probably would have been cheaper too.

Which is where IMO Ford learned from GM's mistake. Had they offered the Z/28 in say two variants I think it would have sold a lot better. I know it wasn't meant to sell in huge numbers, but IMO a 70K camaro with no creature comforts may have turned off some buyers.
