Um.... sure, the key thing in your statement above is
MODDED LTG 4 banger. Why do you guys keep having to make the 4bangers look better by MODDING them in order to compare them to a V8. You can mod just about anything and get 1000hp out of it. I in no way indicated that I'm bashing them for being slow. So you're entire post is VOID. If I really want to put a few mods on my V8 it will would easily blow the doors off the 4 banger but that's not what I'm about and not why I have the V8.
It's cool that some of you guys got lots of power out of the V6. Seems like a good engine. But the reason people ask if your car has the V8 is because it's about the brawny looks and sound of power that the V8 carries . You simply cannot deny it. It's what the car is about because of it's history (Yes I know a V6 was offered in the early days). You can stuff a 800hp v6 in there and people still won't be impressed unless you're just trying to get the best track time. Then yeah, that's great, it's fast. Big deal. I don't race or track at all even though I have the V8. I love the beauty of the exterior, the sound when I drive it, the smoothness of the V8 and the power on tap if I want it. It's feels like the right combination for a Camaro and how I grew up seeing them. Anything less doesn't feel right TO ME. If it's good for you, then great. But to me all the 4 Bangers are just gonna be half a Camaro. It simply sours the pedigree and I'm glad I own the generation pre-dating the 4 bangers.
