Good catch. He was mentioning Mag ride in the video as well now that I think about it.

The only sound deadening in the Camaro is the floorboard carpet in the cabin. There are a few (6?) aluminum 6"x6" "dead panels" about 5mm thick throughout the car, but basically the entire body of the car is a hollow box frame wrapped around that cabin. The only fix is to take the car apart and install deadening material throughout. There is an argument to use 105 vs 165 sq ft, but no matter how much is used, doing so will add approximately 1.5lbs/sq ft. Materials and labor can easily run $1,250-$2,000 (unless DIY). The vehicle will sound 100% better inside and lower ambient road noise 15-20db, but of course at a cost of a lighter pocket book, a week of labor and weight.

oh, I understand why. On some roads it was REALLY bad. It should be mentioned simply because some people will be purchasing these cars for daily drivers and deserve to know. On the track, I'm not worried about road noise, but for long cruises when I want to listen to the radio or have a conversation, I want to be able to.
It was really nice to cruise the forest with you guys. Thank you for coming out. It was even better to see the whole Camaro Lineup (LT, SS, ZL1, Z/28) at once too. James wasn't able to get all 4 cars at once on the highway though. That would have been awesome!
