If its a DD, the Camaro is clearly a better car for the job. The Camaro has better low RPM performance, better fuel economy, and is $10k less comparably equipped (not including dealer markups). According to Motor Trend's testing, the GT350 has no performance advantage of a Camaro SS, except above 6,000 RPM.
The GT350 will be a blast on a track, but you have to get the thing above 3,000 RPM to get any reasonable amount of power from it.
