All they need to do is take the LT1, beef it up and make it strong with around 500 HP (give or take), put the track suspension and brakes on the car, then offer different trims ala GT350, and we have an easy GT350 competitor for the same price or less. I'd love to see this.
But I believe what we will really get is a Z/28 with the LT4 engine and it will cost north of 60K. That said, based on the cars testing, and the different versions we've seen, I wouldn't be surprised at the announcement of a 1LE that comes with track oriented suspension, brakes, NPP exhaust. One or two small performance enhancements such as the new air intake GM is supposed to release soon would also be great...say bumping the horsepower to 470 or so. It would be down on power to the base GT350, but I think it would give it a run, for less cost. I don't see why they couldn't offer this package on a 1SS for an extra 4 or 5 grand on top of the 1SS price.
