It blows my mind that even after I informed this thread that I am an Engine Assembly Technician where this powertrain is exclusively built & that it is not the same as the ATS & CTS, you continue to argue. Major components of this engine are different & still being tested. Think of it like how Apple CarPlay will be available immediately & Android Auto has to wait until next year & yet they run on the same infotainment system.
Maybe my employer didn't change the designation because they are reintroducing a 4 cylinder to the Camaro & the LTG is an award winning engine so why not relate the two.
Without going into detail for obvious reasons, speculate what may be different but trust me, they're different.
