From the side front end shots you can just make out the opening in the hood. They may be working on two models side by side, but this car certainly has the extractor in the hood. I would tend to believe this is a ZL1. The comments were made previously that the Z/28 deserves a N/A small cube motor by Al O. I doubt that motor would be to a point in development that would require being in a "different" 6 gen when it could easily fit into a standard body mule to test at this point. If I am not mistaken, this type of camo is more for testing the car as a whole over drivetrain development. Drivetrain development is usually done under the black matting or in a "standard" body with changes that aren't visible residing underneath.

It's a Dingledarm. It's there to dampen side fumbling. If your marzelvanes fumble too much they can cause total protonic reversal. It gets ugly from there. This is really the biggest problem with the new Camaro. That and the tri-pronged blivot.
