Having a ZL1 and a C7, maybe I can give you my opinion. The C7 is a great all around car, very comfortable and tech oriented. I have the Z51 with Mag. Ride. I usually have it in Tour mode and it is very comfortable and the cooled seats in South Florida are great. Sound system is more than adequate and I am very happy with 31+ MPG on trips with the A8. The only down side to the car is it tends to run hot when I track the car, which is a mute point in your case. It can hold it's own with the majority of cars on the street and look very good doing it.
The forthcoming 2016 SS Camaro looks like it will be almost as fast as our ZL1. The ZL1 is a fun car. It is the car I drive when I just want to cruise and have fun. It is a six speed manual and it sounds much better than the LT1 in the Corvette (IMO). You sit up much higher in traffic and there is more room inside the cabin. Our 2012 car is not as tech oriented as the 2015 Corvette but it is more like the muscle cars that I grew up with but much better. The ZL1 does everything with ease. It's Mag Ride is not as definitive as the Corvette's but again I usually drive it in Tour mode. I find that I enjoy tracking the ZL1 more than the Corvette because I can just drive it and concentrate on my line and not have to worry about overheating the transmission. I like having a trunk as apposed to a hatch.
If I am going on a long trip with my wife I will take the Corvette and for shorter trips by myself I will the Camaro. I enjoy both cars but I do see a 6th Gen. Camaro convertible some time in our future. But that will be a couple of years from now. I hope this helps.
