But on the track....blowing anything out of the water any more is getting tougher and tougher. The Z/28 and GT350R have super exceptional track performance. These guys are scratching hard core for just another second or two around this track or that track than the competitor. In that respect, I think we are reaching a pinnacle of track performance from these "pony cars". The only leaps I can see at this point, is if Chevy turns the next Z/28 in a Corvette Z06 like car with huge power, but still made for the track. In that same hand, Ford could do the next GT500 the same way, and they would be matched as well. I don't see handling getting much better than the current Z/28 and GT350R, but reduced weight, and more power helps and will certainly make them faster in the straights.

Just my opinion.
