There were electrically operated full cut-outs...But I never heard of anything "adjustable" like the NPP in the aftermarket...Maybe there was...
But I would give the NPP system a good look first....If you like the sound, and the option of being quiet or racey, not have to worry about cels, emissions, warranty, being street legal, a good neighbor, and save some money to boot, to me the NPPs sound like a win-win all around.
I like to keep in mind that for this Gen6 Camaro Chevy did their homework on what was popular in the aftermarket and are going for a big piece of that pie for themselves...So far, I think they are doing a good job of getting nice goodies right off the lot...
