I can't imagine that it won't be "accurate" but honestly nobody knows what "accurate" means. We all like to just assume that it will be 200+ pounds off the 2015 base SS model. What it could be, is 200+ when comparing trims with options....or who knows?
Bottom line...Chevy didn't lie if they can pull up they heaviest model 2015 and show that a comparably equipped 2016 model is 200 pound less.
Here is how I like to look at it. Worst case scenario. Lets say Chevy "fibbed" the numbers a bit and are getting 200+ pound weight loss by comparing a 16' 1SS base to a 15' 2SS model. I don't feel this is the case, but lets go with it.
Current 2SS comes in at 3,935 pounds. Going by the above statement, that puts the 16' 1SS at 3734 pounds. (200+ lost).
If they don't hit that number, then we were given incorrect, misleading information, or just lied to, and while it won't cause me to cancel my order or whatever, but it would be disappointing, and Chevrolet should be flamed for it.
