I'm hoping GM is gonna make the next Z28 N/A with a 5xx v8 engine AND a ZL1 to fight the GT500/Hellcat Challenger with a LT4 making about 645 hp. If I know GM like I think I do, looking at the fate of the Vette Z06, used to be a manual, hardtop, N/A engine only for 2 generations and now they have a vert. auto supercharged Z06. If they don't hold up heritage for their halo car, I can't imagine these GM board members who only care about making money and are not car people (they probably don't even drive their own cars) make decisions about the cars we love. Look, I love GM. You could even call me a fanboy but I think what they did to the Z06 and what I'm guessing they'll do to the Camaro is just plain stupid. The only saving grace there is, is that GM usually makes vehicles to fight Ford and they made an incredible track car so hopefully GM will make a rival for it but they don't seem to have an updated engine for the the LT generation of their engine lineup.

I'm still thinking GM will combine the Z28 and ZL1. It will be FI like the Z06 is. This is my opinion. I'm could see them coming out with a more powerful LT1 for the Z28 just not sure they will go that route.
