Current 1SS starts at 34,500. I can't imagine that Chevrolet would tack on more than 2 grand, especially when the MSRP for a Mustang GT is 32,300, and a GT Premium for 36,300.

In fact, based on that, I'd say a 36,500 starting price for a 1SS is too high, although I do feel a 1SS should slate somewhere between a base GT and a GT premium....so HOPEFULLY Chevrolet will keep the pricing very close to where it is today.

But anyways...using the above, my configuration and guestimate on prices:

36,500 1SS
1,500 8-speed automatic
1,100 NPP exhaust

That's pretty much the only options I'd add. Maybe blacked out bowties, but that can't be much. I would also add premium audio, but that doesn't look to be available on the 1SS much to my disappointment.

Total price: $39,100.

My sales guy which I've dealt with in the past is telling me he will sell me the car at invoice, so I figure I can knock off around 2 grand for a total of $37,100.

Does this sound accurate to anyone? I'm really hoping the price only bumps $500 to $1,000 instead of the 2 grand estimate I used above, which I figure would be worst case scenario.

That puts a 1SS A8 NPP at $4,705 over a 2016 base Mustang GT auto...

Even removing the NPP still puts it at $3,600 over.

I cannot imagine GM allowing that big of a gap.

Ford didn't change pricing for the 2016 MY.
