I got a 2013 1LT and I am moving to a 2016 2SS. I want the power, the rumble, the options. I did a lot to my car over the last few years, but I miss actual headers, the ability for real track racing (yes, yes, V6's can track as well). I bought my 2013 when I was commuting 250+ miles per day and gas was $5 a gallon here in CA. I now drive a lot less and gas isn't so high. I am ready to move up.
Everyone is different and not everyone needs a V8 etc... If I could I would own a 2013-2015 ZL1. But the cost on tires and up keep would be crazy for a person like me with a family of 4. Again, that is my situation.
But a 2SS is loaded and should keep me content until I can afford to own and continue to drive with the cost of up keep a ZL1/ Z/28 in the distant future.
