Both drivers agreed to not file charges.

In doing my own research, the kid would have received a Gross Misdeanor, which has a 0-364 day jail sentence and a 0-$5000 fine.

My biggest question here is more to police officers. Some people are claiming the older guy could have been charged with Aggravated Assault. I see simple Assault & Battery, if that. The older guy tried to wrestle him from the car to keep him from continuing to drive away...gave up, and just took the keys. He then de-escalated the situation by walking away with the keys.
