I think the current color options offer a lot for everyone to choose from. Fact is, most people buy black, silver, white and red...there are two blacks, two reds, a white a silver, and a gray. The more vibrant/rare colors remain included for those who want them.

They buy those colors because that's mostly what car companies give us to choose from. You have to remember, it's not just older folks buying these cars. Most of the people I seeing driving these types of cars are young like myself (though at 34, I probably wouldn't be considered young to the teens, lol) and like crazy colors.
Offer more choice and they will buy them. Offer a REAL orange, not this orangey brown bullshit. You catch my drift.
