Yeah, I don't think any company needs to be afraid. Brand loyalty is a funny thing and something I don't quite understand. I agree that most people aren't cross shopping German or Japanese cars with camaro but I would be in that slim group that is. BMW is just too much money for what you get, imo. I had high hopes for the new G37 coupe but between the engine and the car they recently showed, they've removed themselves from the contest. The Lexus IS F is a beautiful sedan on the outside but inside is underwhelming and, as Toyota so often does, the performance and feel of the car also leave a lot to be desired.
Between design (inside and out), performance, and price, the camaro SS fits the bill. The interior sold it for me. Of course I'll wait til I see the build quality in person but I think Chevy will do it right.
