Or, and you'll have to bear with me for a second... GM provided stock footage of the new Camaro to all the national media outlets to use in their reporting of tomorrow's unveiling with explicit instructions to not use them until the unveil happened, and someone at CNBC royally screwed up and included the footage a day earlier than instructed.
I'm sure there's also stock footage of the cars on roads that'll be used in reports tomorrow as well. These outlets appreciate having the footage early so they can put together a good piece with stock footage while reporting. But there is an understanding of secrecy that was violated this afternoon.
