With GM, you never know but given GM's past performance I'm guessing that they watered it all down to some degree.
First you have the 'It can't be as good as, much less BETTER, than a Corvette' camp who have massive control.
Then, the 'Don't change it too much - they may not like it' group (who apparently learned something from the Aztec design debacle).
Lastly, you have the bean counters who actually run the business - 'If it saves a nickel - no matter if the customer would gladly pay it - LEAVE IT OUT!'. These people hold the MOST power.
We don't have a chance.
