Well, in the twilight of the performance car era, with self-driving electric cars inevitable, should I enjoy the last vestiges of automotive freedom, or prepare for the future?

At least Chevrolet is giving me the option here. Wish I had the money for a Porsche 918, then I wouldn't have to choose. Then again, it's too late, Porsche sold out.

I guess I could have the best balance between fuel economy and performance if the Gen 6 was offered with a turbo four. The Gen 6 shares a platform with the Cadillac ATS, and that car is offered with a turbo four. If GM plays their cards right, then a Gen 6 with a turbo four can offer good acceleration, mileage, and modification potential, like the Mustang EcoBoost.

Am I crazy, or would a turbo four Gen 6 be nice to have?
