I'm sure it will be cheaper. The current Z/28 is more of an engineering exercise. It demonstrated what the engineering team could do. They knew it would be a low volume car.
The LS7 was an expensive engine, and with the other standard parts, it made the whole car very expensive. I doubt the next gen car will come standard with carbon brakes or Recaros. Most likely, it will have MRC instead of the DSSVs, which will help reduce costs as well.
