Yep, electricity is magical. Nothing environmentally damaging happens on the other side of the plug-in. There's no majority of global production from coal and natural gas. Nor is there the likelihood that entire mountain ranges would be leveled and strip mined for heavy metals for battery packs, copper for wiring or lightweight metals for reducing mass. Not to mention the need for trillions of dollars in materials to upgrade the existing grids to support the plug-in hybrid/full electric model beyond a niche market. It's all just magicky.
