The first car I owned was a 1974 Chevy Impala Spirit of America special edition. Other than some pin stripping and a few decals, there really wasn't anything special about it. Bought it in 1983 for $1,200 cash.
Note - This is a picture I found with Google, not my car. It's exactly like what I had including what looks like some rusting under the vinyl top.
