Actually I do! I love the looks of the car #1, I really only care about 1/4 mile performance as well as a street driven car. Everybody is different, and I have never been interested in track driving. I'm 68 years old and back in the day, street racing was almost exclusively 1/4 mile drag racing. I grew up in the muscle car era and still love my muscle machines to this day. I still have my 1964 GTO, a 73 SD455 Formula, but my modern muscle cars are my favorite: a 2000 Firehawk (being prepared for street and 1/4 mile with a 434 cubic inch LS1, 6-speed manual, 700 hp NA equipped Harrop Hurricane intake), a 2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10 (also being rebuilt for the 1/4 mile, also 6-speed manual) and my current daily driver, a 2012 Cadillac CTS V coupe, 6-speed manual with a few mods! Still idles @ 750 rpm like stock, but 2 weeks ago at a test and tune I went 10.85 @ 130.89 mph. The projected times for the Firehawk will be 9.90 on motor and 9.20 with NOS. The Ram should be in the low 10's with the new engine ( the stock engine dynoed at 485 rwhp with exhaust and tuning, had a best of 11.63 @ 118 mph). The new V-10 in the Ram will be in the 700 rwhp range (bored, stroked, Gen IV heads ported by Greg Good, 561 cubic inches, all NA). If I get the Z06 it will be a 3LT, base aero, 7-speed manual....and I hope to leave it pure stock. Of course I said that about the CTS V, ....and the SRT-10, .....and the Firehawk. I just love acceleration.
