Well lets look it up for shits and giggles.
According to
this website a 71 monte carlo weighs lets say 3600 lbs. (Lets forget about the fact that the car is obviously stripped and set up for drags, probably weighing in at much less than that.)
And according to
wikipedia, the Viper weighs approx 3460 lbs.
That's a 140lb difference. Add in the 100lb blond chick to the viper and lets call it damn near even.
The piece of shit monte carlo is running a 509, which I know nothing about other than what this
summit advertisement and
Jegs advertisement says about it.
That model year pretty viper boasted a 600 hp V10 that year.
Now I'm no expert by any means, but it looks like a pretty tight duo. Especially considering the skill set of the two drivers at the time. Of course I pulled all of this from the internet, so it might all be bullshit to begin with.
It's the fact that shawn was driving on racing slicks that bothers me about it.
