You still have to pay for the electricity to charge the car at charging stations, your home, etc. I don't know how much it would cost over time compared to gas though.
The P85D is impressive, I must say. The main problem is the price. I think we're still about 10 years away from seeing a GOOD electric car that costs ~$30K new and offers the technology from the current Model S/P85D.
