They don't test each gear set? I know they do for the Camaros. You would think they would show the best numbers for what each engine is capable of and the there would be different numbers if you change your gears.

That would be to much of an extra expense. The GT has 3 different rear end options, standard which is 3.31, 3.55, and the 3.73. EPA requires that the rating used is what 30% of the cars will be equipped with. (Cant remember the exact % TBH). So either ford is predicting a majority of the GT's will be ordered with the performance package or they're making a push for it to be that way.
