I'm also very interested in the insurance cost as well. Hoping its cheaper because its a "motorcycle". Comparing this thing to a Camaro is a little like apples to oranges type thing. If you want to compare, the 2014 ls weighs in at 3719 lbs while the Slingshot is 1750 lbs. The Camaro pulls .86 g's and the Slingshot .88. Now I know your gonna say that the LS has a 300+ hp engine and the sling shot has a whopping 170+ hp (or maybe you weren't gonna say that and I'll be wrong twice in one thread!) but the Camaro's power to weight ratio is 11.46 lbs per 1 hp and the Slingshot's is 10 lbs per 1 hp so I think the Slingshot might be able to keep up with the LS. I'm thinking the use of this thing is more like a motorcycle as opposed to a car, but if you want a third one go for it, one's enough for me.
As for the resale, all qualified dealers in the US are only getting 3 initially and they must keep one of them on the sales floor at all times so they only have two to sell. Now I don't think I've ever seen a polaris product in person but the hub bub on their forums is that they will raise the price either when the second wave is released or mid year as was with their RZR1000.
