I am buying a PS4 but I found out that even tho it uses blue tooth like the PS3 did for stuff like controllers and headsets, it does not work with some PS3 items like the PS3 media remote. the ONLY way to play videos like blu ray/DVD or Netflix is to use the dual shock 4 controller. Sony has NO plans to release any remote soon as they are promoting the PS4 as a gaming console first, media player second (kinda how they marketed the PS2 back in 2000). There are 3rd party remotes but they SUCK you still have to use the PS4 controller to turn it on/off. there is a licensed 3rd party remote that is almost identical to the non working PS3 remote but it does not come out till '15. I just don't see why Sony cannot update the PS4 so you can use the PS3 remote which very good device and is one of the first things a person should buy when buying a PS3.
