There was a lot of worry about the 5th gen that GM was really going to cock it up from a design and performance perspective. This is back when the modern 5th gen community didn't really know the guys behind the scenes at GM.
I trust these guys.
There's always speculation, there's always skepticism. Not everyone will be pleased.
