Very true - see above link. I think the reason they stayed with the iron block is better durability over an aluminum block while taking high boost levels.
Wow, if you guys have a tech interest at all you should read these links. They went for a lot of the power that GM left for the aftermarket on the ZL1. The gear ratios for that auto transmission are no joke. The manual is geared a little too tall for optimal drag racing times. If a rear gear swap becomes available, the manual will be amazing also. When it is officially released, it may end up being the fastest car ever built by an American car company. You may be able to drive this Hellcat off the lot, find some open highway and drive 200mph..... The GT500 was supposed to do it but really doesn't. The ZR1 can do it but you need a lot of road.... I guess we will have to see with the Hellcat.

You know the first Hellcat owner that tries to run with me is going to be upset when I blow his doors off.

ADM/squash fuel system, Ron Davis radiator, Spal fans, AGP air to air, turbo plumbing. LPE oil cooler, rear bushing upgrade, roll bar...etc. rwhp 1400+... 212.5mph, best Texas mile to date.
