I honestly think you would have a bright future in either route you choose. Just thinking logically here and listing out the pros and cons.
Major benifit of powerlifting: no severe cut dieting unless you get so fat you have to loose 20 lbs for a comp, and less dedicated prep time for an event so you could easily do an event whenever you felt like it .
Major cons: just the name of the game is a higher propensity to injury. Some may argue this but I don't see how you could logically argue against that.
Major benifits of bodybuilding: less chance of injury per say depending on your training regime. If you didn't feel like going heavy for a week you could do so and it have no effects at all. You get to see your body at its peak potential and I love the body I have when I'm on stage.
Major cons: long long prep time so shows are sparce. You could do shows back to back but that would be brutal. Bodybuilding shows can sometimes be political. In powerlifting there is no disputing the weight you lift.
I know many people that do both so I know this probably only makes the decision harder
