You're correct about that. Watch episode two you'll notice that some parts didn't arrive. They were unable to locate and have the correct shifter and alternator shipped and installed in the allotted 60 days. They ordered the period correct parts, they simply didn't arrive in time. They also didn't hide it for the show, they fessed up.

They not only hired the right person to do the job right, they kept him on staff while getting rid of two guys that were f'ing up. You don't like them personally, great. Not giving credit where it's due just makes you look foolish though dude.
