When a LEO gets behind a drunk driver they use either the center line or shoulder line to guide them straight so the officer does not see them swerve. As far as the RADAR screaming if the LEO is running radar right all your detector will tell you is your about to get pulled over. Radar is used to confirm what the Officer already knows (that someone was speeding). Yes sometimes LEO's leave the radar on and listen for pitch. But if radar is used right there is no way a Radar detector will help you.

Agreed. I was pulled over one night because I stopped on the line at a stop sign, cop turned around and followed me. When i turned to go down my street he pulled me over because of the white line and i didn't turn on my signal till i was within 50 ft or so. I guess it was supposed to be on further away. They pay attention for possible DUI's
