Well actually the lack of a reasonably sized coupe hurts.

Yes, ATS coupe will be marginally effective, but it will be so small that the appeal will be small as well.

Audi coupe is small but MB and BMW offer coupes in both C/4 and E/6 series and MB now throws in the S-class coupe.

Cadillac will suffer until they can truly stretch to a global portfolio to compete with the "Big 2".

The XLR failed only because it wasn't as good from an interior POV to compete with the MB.

The CTS coupe failed because it was a horribly compromised exercise in styling leaving no headroom for even a normal sunroof and a rear seat that would put almost any other 2+2 in a better light. Gen4 Camaro had a better back seat.

The lack of a serious coupe is just another indicator that Cadillac isn't there yet and will depend on the likes of the Escalade to make the dough.
