It's not considered a production car because only 29 are being produced. 30 is the mark to be considered a production car. I'm assuming they did this to avoid some sort of safety or gas mileage bs that they'd have to deal with for a production car.
All that aside, the car is nuts! I love it. That twin turbo v8 sounds like sex. One thing I thought was interesting and will really show you why you need so much more power just to go a few extra mph at these speeds is the 5-6 gear change. Watch the speedo when he goes from 5th to 6th gear, he was shifting conservatively to ensure no missed shifts but it drops a good 5-10 mph in the 1/2 second it took him to shift.
