And this is a BS thought. I say this as a former cop....most speed limits on interstates and major highways are WAY too low. Yes it gave me something to do, made it easy to pull someone over, but even a few cops said that modern cars, and highways, can allow for much higher speeds.

Take for example 285 around Atlanta. A major freeway, three/four lanes, and it was 55 mph for a VERY long time. The thing is you do 55 on it and you will get ran over, YOU will cause more problems then the guy driving 70 (which is what most are doing). The state FINALLY had engineers look at it and now are raising the limit to 65...engineers to tell them what the PEOPLE already told them, it was too slow.

So I am all for the OP grousing about getting the ticket. The intent is not, should not, be "do the exact speed limit" it should be ensuring the safety of the driving public. The guy going over the speed limit but with traffic IS NOT A THREAT...the guy blowing past them all and weaving in and out is. Even LEO's recognize that, well the good ones do.
