Like when Montana had the "reasonable and prudent" daytime speed limit, I read an article where a trooper said a Corvette going 90 was fine but a Geo at the same speed wasn't. I wholeheartedly agree with that. The equipment matters.

oh another thing,its not about the cars on the road,its about those people that grew up in the 70'80's that still drive the same,think the same,and still drink the same...
Unless some how humans have changed the way they act in the past 30yrs its all about safety and how people react to the road,or if some how the road conditions or certain corners have changed ,as not everyone has the same cars as well...some of those same cars are still on the road,unless you ban every 70's camaro on the road,or every other old car on the road so the only cars on the road are with in a certain safety standard are allowed to continue to be driven on the public roads,your idea holds no water..
what works in one country will not work in another either as people grew up differently learning different rules of the road..here in america we believe we have the right to do what we want,as seen by those living in the city always driving either the speed limit or going slow in the fast lane,then shooting you for flashing your lights at them,while in the country people most people stay out of the fast lanes and move over when flashed when a faster car comes up behind you unless they are from the city...
people over sea's learn from the get go to stay out of the fast lane otherwise they end up fined,or get jailed,and fined really hard,as they have no flag to wave and cry things aren't fair !!!!
