Lot's of good advice given here.
Especially those that have suggested taking a class.
I have been riding a long time, the street is a lot more dangerous now than it used to be (talking/texting on phone, peoples bad/angry attitudes, inattention etc.).
There is an old saying-The closest you will ever come to being invisible is on a motorcycle.
