But Ford rumors said it would
lose 200-300 lbs. when in development. These guesses by Motor Trend would suggest otherwise. Ford, for whatever reason in the midst of all the reveal hype, mentioned
word-ZERO about weight. hmmm.
If the GT500 engine is briefly carried over, as some rumors suggest, to be closely followed by a TT-V8, again as rumors suggest, getting a car with a larger shadow than the current one to weigh
appreciably less (while including a HD IRS) will be a challenge. It will be challenging enough on the bottom end of the scale (Base-V6 and T-4), let alone with the more robust drivetrain always required with the V8s.
