My original statements came about when a comment was made that you can't build substancial muscle without supplementation, I brought up the power lifters and body builders of the early years, back in the 40's and 50's when there were no supplements as we know them today. I also mentioned that there were some "fat Guys" who were exceptionally strong and most lifters back then weren't sculpted by todays standards but there were some who could hold there on today. I remember as a kid watching the Olympics and there where guys with huge legs or massive arms but those more often than not they weren't symmetrical as most of today's pro's. They were developed according to there specialty more than overall development.
