Don't disagree with your position, but hopefully you realize you are in a small minority.
I would frankly like to see a DCT which is kind of the best of both worlds.
Can't say what the number would be, but I'd guess less than 25%. Even the Corvette is only around 50% manual/automatic. Manuals just don't sell in that segment.
An AMG E63 has an automatic only. But the BMW M6 Gran Coupe offers a no cost manual. So not always clear.
So it may not work for you, but at least realize it works for many which doesn't make it a "wasted opportunity". The lost opportunity is you for one and a few more.
