When your spouse wants a car, get them a car. You're only asking for a specific car, so the difference between a Camaro and a similarly sized vehicle in price is marginal at best. The most you can reasonably negotiate is the sacrifice in fuel economy and the cost of performance parts. Other than that, there's no conceivable reason to have to negotiate the purchase of a nice car for you when you've probably given your spouse whatever they wanted to drive in the past.
