I greatly appreciate the minor things that the developers put in that sometimes go unnoticed. Some things that I have noticed so far from playing the game

*No Spoilers"


You can get scrapes and cuts from being in a car wreck

After driving a car pretty hard, when you park it and exit you can hear the engine ticks you would normally hear after shutting down a car in real life

You will start to notice sweat stains after alot of continuous sprinting

Being able to raise and lower the convertible top

You can use your phone to take pictures of yourself. Just beat some poor soul senseless? Take a Selfie pic to add salt to injury

The map will sometimes go out when entering a tunnel to simulate not getting a signal

Shooting a car in the correct spot will cause it to leak gas. You can shout the trail to ignite it on fire

Crime happens all around you, There was several occasions while walking down the street I saw a cop chase happening or a shootout occuring

On some vehicles you can hear a door ajar chime going off when you leave the door open

Motorist react differently from being in a wreck with you. Some run, some curse at you, others will get out of their cars and attempt to fight you

Our characters are even more lifelike than GTA4. In GTA4 If you recieved a call while on a bike and wearing a helmet Niko would put the phone up to his ear even though he was wearing a helmet. GTA5 they use the speaker phone

When standing in water you only get wet on the areas that a submerged.

If you press right on the D pad you can talk to random pedestrians and respond to them

Revving your engine at a red light next to another sports car will start a drag race. (Little Brother told me this one. Haven't tried it yet)

If you stab someone with a knife a blood wound appears, and if you keep stabbing him the blood wound grows imitating multiple punctures

Sandals squelch in the rain.

If you stand close to a car while it's raining you can hear the sound of the drops on the car.

When you jack a boat the NPC's will abandon ship.

Can't remember if this was in GTA IV but if you leave the character standing for too long you will go into 1st person and he will look around. He watched a women walk past and then stared at her ass as she walked down the road
