So, I was driving from Idaho to Calgary with my girlfriend. We were a few miles before entering fernie in BC. I was doing an average of 120 km/h, so 20 km/h over the speed limit. Then i found my self behind this semi, and I decided to pass it in the passing lane. (it was a short passing lane) on a two way highway with lots of curves, so i decided to take this chance to pass it, while i was passing it, i took the camaro to 150 km/h to get back on my lane. few moments later, an unmarked RCMP pulls me over for excessive speeding. He wrote me a ticket for 370 and impounded my camaro SS in fernie for 7 days !!!

Its a big pain to see my SS sitting in a mechanic lot with no shade and dusty environment, front fascia covered with mosquitoes and bugs and all exposed to the sunlight ( there is no impound parking, so they take the cars to a lot with a mechanic, apparently they have an agreement with RCMP). They kept the keys. I have to go back next week to get it back, and its a 4 hr drive.

Its a hard way to learn the lesson. I will do my best to not break any laws again. I was wondering if anybody has had any similar experiences ? any advice besides sticking to the speed limit ? this happened in BC, Canada.
