What if there was a serial killer in my community? Cops are free game to come in my house? OK!

I guess here is my overall point. Where do we draw the line?
The precedence that was set is astounding. NOT ONCE has Martial Law been invoked to search for ANY ALLEDGED criminal. Evar! And yet people are being forced out of their own houses (no, no warrant shown- or even time to show it. You see/hear the occupants did not even have time for consent). And yet after all this. After the whole "search and seizure" was called off, it was a simple citizen who found the suspect and reported it.
I'm sure the naked man who was shown handcuffed and stripped for all the world to see, would have a little input on this (you can also see that the SUSPECT HIMSELF was not strip searched).
Forcing the people out of their homes at gunpoint, while searching them and putting them under guard.....where does the line become drawn? Where do we say our rights are being trampled on? Under what next pretext does the government trample on our rights?
As for those that are saying "the internet tuff guys are coming out and blah blah. But the internet tuff guys would do nothing". Yup, you are probably right. ALL the more reason that this shouldn't happen. The overwhelming show of force by the government just underscores how hard it would be to fight off a government that decided to do stuff like this. Do you remember the reason for the 2nd and 4th amendments? Its about protection from our own government.
Let me be clear; I am not saying that any of this is a big conspiracy brought on by some administration to overthrow the constitution. I am no conspiracy theorist. What I am saying is its impossible to put the genie back in the bottle. Once you have taken one step, it becomes that much closer to the next step etc.
Its a very slippery slope to travel.
