According to Spokane police, a man left his SUV running in his driveway near the intersection of Lee Street and Sharp Avenue. The owner of the SUV said Kaluza-Graham stole the Chevy Suburban. He was driving away when the owner shot him.

The vehicle owner has not been identified by authorities. He's indicated he would like to tell his side of the story, but can't on the advice of his attorney.

this writer really sucks. So according to the police, the owner shot while the criminal was driving away. then later, the owner has not been identified by authorities (policemen aren't authorities??) and would like to tell his side, but can't...so then did the owner actually say he shot as the criminal drove away?

possible that the owner shot, wasn't an immediate kill shot, criminal then drove off, went unconscious, then died...and then ran into a tree...
