Massachusetts drivers, your opinion please

In the last five years or so, have you noticed a growing trend in MA in which the average driver routinely travels at up to 10 or 15 mph below the posted speedlimit when conditions do not dictate that speed?

I am seeing this every day on rte 128, although I think that's because the commuters anticipate traffic and slow down instinctively.

However on secondary roads and back roads I'm seeing 30 in a 40...25 in a 35...35 in a 40...all the damn time now. I was on rte 138 today. Very light traffic. Speed limit 45 mph in the areas. Car in front of me? 35 mph. Very common on that road

is this just happening in the area outside of Boston or is this more widespread? It's becoming quite aggravating to constantly be in a parade doing 25 in a 35, with the whole road ahead of the first car clear
