The Corvette will remain the car of middle class older men and young single men with lucrative jobs or trust funds. $50+k for a two seat car that can only be driven in summer is not the kind of thing a person buys if he has a wife and kids and college loans to pay off. The C7 will attract more upscale drivers, but the market for two seat sports cars is still limited. Porsche, Lambo and Ferrari buyers will not want to be seen in a Chevrolet. A potential market is in the developing world where the Corvette will be seen as being on par with the Europeans, and when driven will be equal or better than the others.
