I have a vette, not a camaro, but same general idea I guess.
My wife, then girlfriend, didn't know I owned a vette until after dating her for about 3 months. Even then, I only told her because she asked why I never park my daily driven car in the garage. It was winter, so I simply told her that's where I keep my other car for the season.
My wife isn't into cars, but she respects my enthusiasm for cars and doesn't try to infringe on it, which is absolutely perfect for me. For me, being into cars is my thing, and that is how I personally like it.
In my case, the car didn't make a bit of difference.
